The second ADMIRE workshop took place on November 7-8^th, 2013 at Ystad Saltsjöbad. The purpose of this second workshop was for the ADMIRE members to get to know the microscopy possibilities in Lund as well as to be familiar with two microscopy centers in Copenhagen. 8 local presentations about microscopes available within the ADMIRE network was given by a person closely connected to each microscope. In addition to background knowledge about each technique and a few examples of samples that could be investigated, information on how to get access to each microscope was also provided. Furthermore Prof Alexander Schulz, the director for the Center of Advanced Bioimaging (CAB), and Prof Jakob Wagner, the scientific director for the Center for Electron Nanoscopy (CEN), gave longer presentations on their centers and how to access the microscopes within these centers.

Around 40 members of ADMIRE participated in this workshop that started at lunchtime on Thursday the 7^th and ended in the afternoon on Friday the 8^th. In addition to the scientific program networking activities followed by dinner was organized on Thursday evening.
